Reliability assessment of high‐quality and long‐life products based on zero‐failure data

Abstract: For a period of mission time, only zero‐failure data can be obtained for high‐quality long‐life products. In the case of zero‐failure data reliability assessment, the point estimates and confidence interval estimates of distribution parameters cannot be obtained simultaneously by the current reliability assessment models, and the credibility of the assessment results may be reduced if they are obtained at the same time. A new model is proposed for consistency problem in this paper. In the proposed model, the p… Show more

“…With regard to the confidence interval problem of reliability parameters under the condition of no failure data, the optimal confidence limit method was proposed [10] and the point estimation of reliability parameters and the oneside confidence lower limit of parameters were obtained. Li et al [11] proposed a new model to solve the consistency problem, which improved the accuracy of reliability interval estimation based on the reliability evaluation. e product reliability problem under unequal time censored failure data was studied [12].…”

“…Because of the characteristics of these products' long life and high reliability, there are very few traumatic failures in their whole life cycle. Therefore, many references have conducted research on product reliability modeling and life assessment methods with zero traumatic failure information [1][2][3][4]. Fu, H.M. and Zhang, Y.B.…”
