“…The spectrum of both PVP–CMC polymer composite films (Figure ) presents the characteristic absorptions, including the absorption around 1035, 2515, and 1405 cm −1 . The peak at 1035 cm −1 represents the C─O stretching and 3347 cm −1 corresponds to hydroxyl (─OH) group . The broad absorption band between (3000–3500 cm −1 ) represents the hydrogen bonding in the polymers .…”

“…The use of probabilistic techniques to evaluate life and reliability for the complete Stirling convertor is presently being studied. The goal is to extend this analysis to include all parts of the generator, including the structure, thermal transport, Stirling convertor, controller, and the radiator (Shah, 2003). This type of analysis provides insight into the value of the factors-of-safety (FOS) and the margins that exist in the design by converting FOS and margin into probability to achieve mission requirements.…”

“…GRC has recently initiated a reliability effort, part of which has been described previously. 11 The reliability effort has several components. The primary component is managed through the GRC Risk Management Office (RMO).…”
