Reliability and Validity of Korean Version of Apraxia Screen of TULIA (K-AST)

Abstract: ObjectiveTo evaluate the reliability and validity of Korean version of AST (K-AST) as a bedside screening test of apraxia in patients with stroke for early and reliable detection.MethodsAST was translated into Korean, and the translated version received authorization from the author of AST. The performances of K-AST in 26 patients (21 males, 5 females; mean age 65.42±17.31 years) with stroke (23 ischemic, 3 hemorrhagic) were videotaped. To test the reliability and validity of K-AST, the recorded performances w… Show more

“…saliva or blood contamination, during dental impression making or margin geometry, lead to unintended modifications in coping fit 18 . In addition, in vivo studies evaluating the intra- and interrater reliability of measurement techniques usually include different patients 1 , 3 , 8 . To simulate in vivo conditions, we performed modifications on purpose to create different CAD models.…”

“…The first investigator repeated the examination of all existing 80 silicone replicas for the LMMs with the frequently used interval of one week in intra-rater reliability studies 1 , 3 , 8 , resulting in two measurements: I1.1 and I1.2. The measurements of the 80 replicas' thickness were analyzed separately for the first and second examination and for the measurement points.…”

“…Cognitive and attention impairments were assessed using the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Trail-Making Test A (TMT-A), respectively. Apraxia was assessed using the Korean version of the apraxia screen of TULIA (K-AST; [ 21 ]). Anosognosia was assessed through a clinical interview, wherein the clinical expert verified whether they were aware of their sensorimotor deficits and could explain these deficits.…”
