This study aims to examine the relevance of the concept of tax in Islam according to the perspective of Abu Yusuf's philosophy. Research data was collected and analyzed using library research techniques. The findings of this study are that the concept of tax in Islam initiated by the philosopher Abu Yusuf in Kitab Al-Kharaj is still relevant to the current taxation system. Among its relevance are taxes (kharaj) collected proportionally, the idea of â€‹â€‹collecting taxes by recruiting tax officials with integrity and professionalism, there is a dispute between the principles of tax collection in Islam according to the philosophy of Abu Yusuf and the principles of taxation applied in Indonesia such as the principle of imposition of principles and minimum principles which can be justified juridically, then finally between the tax (kharaj) and the Building Land Tax (PBB) there is an agreement that the object is in the form of land which is the property right. This research is expected to make a contribution both theoretically, namely related to the concept of tax in Islam, according to the perspective of Abu Yusuf's philosophy and practically for regulators (government) in formulating policies in the field of taxation so that they are more just and beneficial to the state and the people.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menganalisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Abu Yusuf dalam praktik bisnis dan keuangan modern. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah relevansi dan aplikabilitas prinsip-prinsip yang diajarkan oleh Abu Yusuf dalam konteks bisnis dan keuangan saat ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis sumber-sumber yang berkaitan dengan kontribusi Abu Yusuf dalam bidang ekonomi dan keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Abu Yusuf, seperti keadilan dan kesetaraan, perlindungan konsumen, pengaturan pasar yang tepat, kestabilan ekonomi, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi, tetap relevan dan memiliki implikasi yang signifikan dalam praktik bisnis dan keuangan modern. Prinsip-prinsip ini dapat diterjemahkan dan diterapkan dalam praktik bisnis dengan memastikan perlakuan yang adil dan setara bagi semua pihak, melindungi konsumen dari praktik yang merugikan, menerapkan pengaturan pasar yang sehat, menjaga stabilitas sistem keuangan, dan mendorong inklusi keuangan serta pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan dan merata.

The purpose of writing the article is expected to reflect on the thoughts of Islamic figures who have contributed to the welfare of the fiqh muamalah field, as well as to review the operational transformation of fiqh products from time to time. The need for actualization to guide in responding to the challenges or problems of today's society makes it important to reflect on the historical development of the relation to fiqh muamalah that existed before. The method used in this paper is to collect various sources of literature from previous research or library research for descriptive analysis and find the values. As for the results, the authors found that the thoughts of Islamic figures such as Abu Yusuf, Al-Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun, and Ibn Taimiyah still have relevance in the present, the operational fiqh in the development of the classical period can still be drawn from its elasticity. This provides enthusiasm for young scholars to continue to develop their thoughts in providing benefits to their environment by upholding sharia principles, tabarru agreements between people, and the spirit of exploring Islamic treasures in responding to today's problems.
