Relay Selections for Security and Reliability in Mobile Communication Networks over Nakagami-m Fading Channels

Abstract: This paper studies the relay selection schemes in mobile communication system over Nakagami-m channel. To make efficient use of licensed spectrum, both single relay selection (SRS) scheme and multirelays selection (MRS) scheme over the Nakagami-m channel are proposed. Also, the intercept probability (IP) and outage probability (OP) of the proposed SRS and MRS for the communication links depending on realistic spectrum sensing are derived. Furthermore, this paper assesses the manifestation of conventional direc… Show more

“…We use OP and IP to quantify reliability and security respectively. If channel capacity of the main link is lower than the transmission rate, an outage event occurs, whereas the channel capacity of the wiretap link is higher than the transmission rate, an intercept event occurs [14]- [16], [25], [26]. Here, we discuss the direct transmission of OP, IP and SRT analysis.…”

“…Therefore, Zou, Zhu, and Ding investigated the security-reliability trade-offs (SRT) for the cooperative wireless network. [26][27][28][29][30][31] Huang et al 32 studied the SRT in the CRN, and the influence of the primary user on the secondary user was investigated. The authors analyzed SRT performance in two modes of transmission: single-relay selection transmission and multi-relay selection transmission.…”
