Relationships of growth factors, proinflammatory cytokines, and anti-inflammatory cytokines with long-term clinical results of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cell transplantation in STEMI

Abstract: AimThe aim of the study was to test the hypothesis suggesting that the pre-intervention levels of proinflammatory cytokines, anti-inflammatory cytokines, and angiogenic growth factors predict the long-term clinical results of autologous bone marrow-derived mononuclear cell (ABMMC) transplantation in patients with primary ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).Methods and resultsFrom 2003 to 2006, a total of 62 patients with primary STEMI were enrolled in an open randomized study registered under the title … Show more

“…Ранее в проведенном нами исследовании установлена прогностическая роль интерлейкина-10 (IL-10), фактора роста фибробластов (FGF) и сосудистоэндотелиального факторов роста (VEGF) в отдаленном постинфарктном периоде у пациентов с ИМ с подъемом сегмента ST (ИМпST) [10]. Таким образом, представляет интерес изучение генетических механизмов, в частности, полиморфизмов генов белков, показавших свое значение в неблагоприятное течение ИМ [11].…”

“…To further investigate whether there are differences in cytokine profiles induced by viruses from different compartments, cytokines were also grouped according to reported properties: pro-inflammatory (IL-1beta, IL-6, TNFalpha, IL-8, MCP-1, MIP1-alpha, MIP1-beta), antiinflammatory (IL-4, IL-10, IL-13, IL1-Ra), Th1 (IFN-gamma, IL-2), Th2 (IL-14, IL-10, IL-13, IL-5), pro-HIV replication (TNFalpha, IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-7, IL-15) and anti-HIV replication (IL-10, IL-13, MIP1-alpha/beta and RANTES) (37)(38)(39)(40). There were no significant differences between compartments in these cytokine groups (data not shown).…”
