Abstract: Previous studies have demonstrated that choline deficiency preceded the formation of adenomas and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Whether dietary intake of one‐carbon nutrients in particular for choline and betaine, risk factors for HCC development, may influence tumour progression was not known.
