Relationships Between Deformation Characteristics and Various Performances About Daily Safety and Comfortableness of Floor Coverings on Concrete Groundwork

Abstract

Floor performance relating to daily safety and comfortableness are in uenced by the deformation characteristics of the  oor covering. However, these characteristics vary depending on the floor materials and construction methods. This research aims to quantify the relationships between deformation characteristics and  oor performance attributes for  oor coverings on concrete groundwork. Firstly, sample  oors were made with varying deformation characteristics and performance values were measured. Deformation characteristics were then measured using an in-house developed static loading device. Finally, the relationships between deformation characteristics and the performance values were evaluated.
