Abstract:The Revised Hasegawa Dementia Scale (HDS-R) is the most widely used instrument to screen for dementia in Japan and is similar to the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). The development of a quicker and simpler screening tool, the Japanese Old Stories Cognitive Scale (JOSS), was previously reported.
