Relationship of MDR1 gene polymorphism and P-glycoprotein expression in Chinese refractory lupus nephritis

Abstract: To evaluate the association of multidrug resistance 1 (MDR1) polymorphism and the expression of P-glycoprotein (Pgp) in Chinese refractory lupus nephritis (LN) patients. Polymerase chain reaction-direct sequencing was used to analyze MDR1 polymorphism. The genotype distribution of MDR1 polymorphism in 132 SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) patients was evaluated.
