Global outsourcing of IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) has now become an accepted corporate strategy of a vast majority of firms around the world. The functions being offshored have increased in scope and magnitude and have climbed the value chain ladder. However, the literature has overwhelmingly focused on client-centric issues to the neglect of vendor concerns. There is a rich tradition of ranking critical issues confronting Information Systems executives, and some studies have even explored critical issues of outsourcing clients. These rankings have significant implications for both researchers and practitioners. Our study focuses on the nascent area of IT outsourcing vendors. We examine the issues from the standpoint of IT outsourcing vendors in India, currently the primary destination for IT offshoring. The results suggest that for the Indian vendors, the most critical issues are not related to cultural, language, and time-zone differences as suggested in many writings. Rather, the most critical concerns are issues dealing with work arrangements and relationships with the client, and issues related to the client's organizational readiness for offshoring. Clearly the understanding of such issues is important to the vendors, but also to the clients in order to maintain an effective dyadic relationship.

Quality is a major challenge throughout software projects, it is important to analyze and assess quality of a software project. Regular quality measurement is key when it comes to running a successful project. This paper presents a quantitative quality evaluation model of software project for Web application. This model uses Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Fuzzy Mathematical theory and expert method to constrain quality metrics with respect. This model provides the weights of quality characteristics and sub-characteristics using analytic hierarchical process technique, which is on the basis of summering and analysis of historical test data for Web application. The experimental results indicate that this approach is effective for software project quality evaluation and can get good estimates.

Software Quality has been a major challenge throughout Information Technology projects. Whether it is in software development, in software integration or whether it is in the implementation or customization of shrink-wrapped software, quality is regarded as a major issue. In the last couple of decades, much software engineering research has focussed on standards, methodologies and techniques for improving software quality, measuring software quality and software quality assurance. Most of this research is focused on the internal/development view of quality. More recent studies have made attempts to understand the stakeholder view of quality. With globalisation, many new challenges affect software quality. Not only do we need to understand the many stakeholder views of quality, we now need to consider the cultural issues, and the outsourcing issues. The Sixth Workshop on Software Quality aims to bring together academic, industrial and commercial communities interested in software quality topics to discuss the different technologies being defined and used in the software quality area.
