Relationship between pulmonary function and anthropometric measurements and body composition in young women

Abstract: This study was planned to evaluate the relationship between pulmonary function and some anthropometric measurements and body composition in healthy young women with different body mass index (BMI). “…Currently, in scientific research, there is information about the connection of certain indicators of the external structure of the body (most often -height while standing and sitting, body weight) with spirometric indicators [9]. An inverse relationship between the characteristics of fat deposition (the amount of fat and fat-free mass, the total amount of water in the human body, the anterior-posterior size of the abdomen) and the indicators of pulmonary ventilation was found [5,8,15,24].
