Neuralgic amyotrophy: variable expression in 40 patients

“…In our patients, the variable age of onset, male‐to‐female ratio, antecedent illness in some of the cases, pain at sudden onset as the first manifestation followed at variable intervals (days to weeks) by weakness and muscle atrophy, and less sensory involvement are in accordance with previous reports ( Parsonage and Turner, 1948 ; Turner, 1957 ; Tsairis et al, 1972 ; England and Sumner, 1987; 1996 ; England, 1999 ) .
