Relación entre estilos de aprendizaje y estrategias volitivas en estudiantes universitarios de lenguas extranjeras

Abstract

Los estudiantes del nivel superior enfrentan retos para adaptarse a nuevos ambientes de aprendizaje, lo que lleva al despliegue de estrategias cognitivas y también de tipo motivacional, afectivas y emocionales. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar la relación entre los estilos de aprendizaje y el uso de las estrategias volitivas en estudiantes universitarios mexicanos de lenguas extranjeras. Se empleó un método cuantitativo de diseño descriptivo correlacional de alcance transversal. Se utilizaron el cuestionario Honey-Alonso de Estilos de Aprendizaje (CHAEA) y el Inventario de Estrategias Volitivas Académicas (IEVA). Los resultados mostraron que hay predominancia del estilo reflexivo y un mayor uso de la estrategia de autoeficacia, además de una variación con el semestre que cursan. Estos hallazgos pueden dar la pauta para que en el aula se consideren aspectos que permitan a los estudiantes persistir ante dificultades latentes en sus contextos escolares y logros académicos.
