Reinsurance Demand and Liquidity Creation: A Search for Bi-Causality

Abstract: We analyze the relationship between insurers' liquidity creation and reinsurance demand.Early theoretical contributions on liquidity creation propose that financial institutions enhance economic growth by creating liquidity in the economy.
