This article examines the road bridge over the Karadarya River on the 5th km of the exploited Andijan –Pakhtaabad route R135 Highway. In this case, the effect on the load-bearing capacity of its foundation on ShNQ 2.05.03-12, which is currently in effect, on the replacement of the bridge Intermediate Unit (highway bridge designed and built according to the temporary load classes N30 and NK-80, N10 and NG60) into the temporary load class A14 and NK-100, or on the load-bearing capacity of the Intermediate Unit in increasing its load capacity, was considered. Recommendations have also been made on the maximum increase in the class of permanent and temporary load falling on the foundation of this bridge, which is in operation.

The article is dedicated to the actual dynamic impact study of rolling stock on urban bridges. The requirements for recording the dynamic impact specified in domestic and foreign regulatory documents are considered. Using a mobile measuring complex, the results of which determine the natural frequencies of vertical, horizontal transverse, and horizontal longitudinal vibrations. The technique used in the experiment allows us to obtain initial data for the dynamic calculation of structures, to clarify the real rolling stock dynamics depending on the state of the rail track on the bridge. Urban rolling stock is a relevant and necessary type of public transport that meets modern city requirements. The bridge crossings construction will ensure the connection of the urban areas separated by obstacles into a single network. When designing such structures, it is important to take into account the effects of actual dynamic coercitive forces. The dynamics study allows, on the one hand, to reasonably set the dynamic loads impact on bridges, on the other hand, to diagnose the structures state by dynamic parameters. In this work, using a specialized mobile measuring complex, the authors measured the oscillation parameters on moving vehicles. As a conducted experimental studies result, a methodology for determining the dynamic characteristics of a moving load and directly urban bridges has been demonstrated. As a result of the conducted experimental studies, it can be concluded that the proposed method allows obtaining initial data for the dynamic analysis of structures for the transport load. In addition, fixing the transport load dynamic impact during operation allows you to clarify the real rolling stock dynamics, depending on the state of the rail track on the bridge.

Carbon fiber–reinforced polymer (CFRP) rods have been considered as a candidate material for prestressed concrete applications because of their superior properties. For current applications, successful use of CFRP rods is linked to an efficient anchorage system design. This paper presents a newly developed anchorage system for CFRP rods and the design concept that the extrusion process is used to generate gripping force. The proposed anchorage system consists of a steel barrel and an aluminum sleeve, and an extrusion region is designed on the outside of barrel to generate a suitable contact pressure distribution on the CFRP rod. A mathematical model was proposed to estimate the contact pressure on the CFRP rod and the capacity of anchorage system. The simulation of extrusion and loading process was conducted with a three-dimensional (3D) finite-element (FE) model. The key design parameters of anchorage system were analyzed to obtain an optimized parameter combination. The experimental validation showed that the new anchorage system is capable of allowing the CFRP rod to attain the ultimate tensile strength.
