Rehabilitation of squamous cell carcinoma defect with two‐piece hollow bulb obturator prosthesis – A case report

Abstract: Two‐piece hollow bulb obturator maxillofacial prosthesis for hemi‐maxillectomy defect is given after surgical resection due to oral squamous cell carcinoma. Maxillofacial prosthodontists play a pivotal role in construction of prosthesis. Unique choices are made in prosthesis design depending on the clinical representation. Improvement in function, phonetics and esthetics was appreciated.
