Abstract: Vibrio parahaemolyticusis a halophile present in marine environments worldwide and is a leading cause of bacterial seafood-borne gastroenteritis. Free livingVibrio parahaemolyticusplanktonic cells can either attach to surfaces to form swarming cells or develop into a sessile three-dimensional biofilm structure.
