Regional serotonin transporter availability and depression are correlated in Wilson?s disease

Abstract: In patients with Wilson's disease (WD), depression is a frequent psychiatric symptom. In vivo neuroimaging studies suggest that depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders are associated with central serotonergic deficits.
