At the beginning of the XXI century, a process of rapid development of world art and reassessment of artistic values took place in network culture. A new language of art is formed and developed in parallel with the development of the latest technologies. Changing the assessment and reality perception process requires adaptation of design subjects to the new world, in which information flows, opportunities, and scientific and technical innovations are rapidly and steadily growing and transforming. The changing perspective on art objects â€“ from the past to the future â€“ encourages art consumers to acquire a new sense of art going beyond the boundaries of everyday life and makes us relate to the world in a new way, accordingly transforming our everyday life, our desires and feelings. The rapid development and spread of the latest technologies, the entry to a qualitatively new level of visualization leads to the emergence and integration of new, little-researched processes in the field of design, for instance, art design. The purpose of the academic paper is to study the regularities of art design formation as a new trend in developing the modern design sphere, as well as to clarify some practical features of this process. Analytical-bibliographical, systemic-structural, comparative, logical-linguistic methods, abstraction, idealization, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction were used in the course of the research to study the scientific literature on the art design development, as well as a questionnaire to reveal certain aspects of practical issues in this sphere. Based on the research results, the theoretical and practical aspects of developing art design as a new direction in the field of modern design were studied.

The current increase in requirements for designers in various professional fields is due to the challenges posed by globalization and the informatization of modern society as the main trends in its development. The integration of modern technologies into the structure of designers' professional activities requires a revision of approaches to the professional training of both future design professionals and artists in general. The article aims to study the theoretical foundations and certain practical aspects of the application of SMART technologies in the design education of HEIs of technical and humanitarian orientation. Methodology. The study applied analytical and bibliographic, systemic and structural, comparative, logical, and linguistic methods, analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction in the processing of scientific information on the use of SMART technologies in design education. Moreover, the methods of abstraction and idealization served to study and process statistical and analytical data. Analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction helped to study the scientific literature and summarize the results of the survey. Results. The study examined the theoretical foundations and results of a survey on the concept and main trends of design education, as well as the prerequisites, patterns, and directions of development of SMART technologies in terms of assessing the experience of their use in the educational process in teaching design specialties.

The essence of the development of the sphere of professional training of specialists in multimedia design is to increase the efficiency of the work of multi-level, specialized and multifunctional educational institutions that provide professional training of design specialists, improve the qualifications of teaching staff of such educational institutions, and develop social partnership of educational institutions with business. The purpose of the academic paper lies in determining the standpoint of specialists in the sphere of computer design and practising teachers of graphic and computer design specialities regarding the features of using multimedia technologies when working with visual communications and in design education. Methodology. In the course of the research, the analytical and bibliographic method has been used to study the scientific literature on the application of multimedia technologies when working with visual communications and in design education, as well as a questionnaire survey for the practical clarification of certain aspects of multimedia tools in the field of visual communications and in design education. Results. Based on the results of the research, the development process, the role and features of the use of multimedia technologies in the sphere of visual communications and in design education have been studied, and the practical aspects of the using multimedia tools in the educational process and practical activities of specialists in the field of computer design have been clarified.
