Regional cortical thinning, demyelination and iron loss in cerebral small vessel disease

Abstract: The link between white matter hyperintensities (WMH) and cortical thinning is thought to be an important pathway by which WMH contributes to cognitive deficits in cerebral small vessel disease (SVD).
