“…Waza National Park (NP), situated in Sahelo‐Sudanian Cameroon, is the west‐central African stronghold of the giraffe [ Giraffa camelopardalis (L.)] (Ngog Nje, 1983) and the elephant [ Loxodonta africana (Blumenbach)] (Tchamba & Elkan, 1995). Waza NP also harbours significant populations of kob [ Kobus kob (Erxleben)], korrigum [ Damaliscus lunatus korrigum (Burchell)], roan [ Hippotragus equinus (Desmarest)] and red‐fronted gazelle [ Gazelle rufifrons (Gray)], and minor populations of bohor reedbuck [ Redunca redunca (Pallas)], waterbuck [ Kobus elypsiprymmus (Ogilby)] and grey duiker [ Sylvicapra grimmia (L.)] (Tchamba & Elkan, 1995; East, 1999).…”
