“…In addition, the effect of immunomodulation on angiogenesis in vitro under different treatments was investigated by HUVEC cells tube formation assay. [ 38 ] As shown in Figure 4G,I–K, the length of vessel formation, the number of mesh and the number of vessel formation are significantly greater in the FGMA/FG/PA group than in the control group. According to the correlation analysis (Figure 4L), the ability of CM of macrophages to promote the migration and tube‐formation of HUVEC cells is mainly related to the expression of TNF‐ α , TGF‐ β , and VEGF.…”

“…In this study, the CCK-8 method was used to detect the cytotoxicity of PLCL-GNR/PEG (Figure a). Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and rat cardiomyocytes (H9C2) were selected as model cell lines because they are the main cells contacted after occluder implantation and responsible for cardiac tissue regeneration . As shown in Figures b, c and S7, both HUVEC and H9C2 cell viabilities of all the PLCL-GNR/PEG samples were similar to that of PLLA and reached 90%, indicating that the composites exhibit satisfactory cytocompatibility.…”

“…[ 16a ] After activation they release the pro‐inflammatory cytokine mediators including tumor necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐ α ) and interleukin‐6 (IL‐6). [ 42 ] It is obvious that, compared to the many macrophages that display a spreading shape on the pristine PU surface, in contrast the oval shaped macrophages in the inactivated state populate the PDA/Lys/Cu‐SB coated PU surface. This indicates a low activation level in the macrophages attached to PDA/Lys/Cu‐SB coated PU substrates.…”
