O fragmento florestal apresent… Show more

“…Phosphorus was the only soil attribute that was significantly affected by the sludge doses, even though the regression models tested for each species did not allow good adjustments. This result could be explained by the fact that organic and humic substances in the sludge may have increased phosphate uptake by the plants, given that they can block phosphate adsorption sites of oxides and hydroxides of Fe and Al from the substrate -not only at the hole level but also for plot level (Sibanda and Young, 1986;Hua et al, 2008;Rocha et al, 2015). The increase in C concentration and stocks appears to modulate the phosphorus dynamic in this degraded area.…”

“…To assess whether forest restoration projects are feasible, monitoring of environmental quality, including soil analysis, and baseline assessment prior to monitoring are fundamental (Rocha et al ). Soil chemical indicators are important when considering soil capacity to maintain nutrient cycling, plant biomass, organic matter, and for sustaining forest production and sustainability (Schoenholtz et al ).…”
