Reflections on Cross-Cultural Comparison of the Impact of Housing Modification/Adaptation* for Supporting Older People at Home: A Discussion

Abstract: Both 'modification' and 'adaptation' are used across this special issue. The term 'home modification' is used in USA, Australia, and Sweden and 'home adaptation' in the UK and Spain with papers from Sweden using both terms.
