Reflection on classification in special pedagogy caused by the proposal to distinguish special geragogy

Abstract: The article presents the considerations that led to the conclusion of arguments and counterarguments in favour of creating special geragogy, and also allowed to propose a solution that respects the assumptions of the idea of integration and normalization. The pretext for analysing the classifications of sub-disciplines of special education and considering the legitimacy of the submitted proposal were the studies suggesting the separation of a sub-discipline dealing with seniors with disabilities.
