Reflection on classification in special pedagogy caused by the proposal to distinguish special geragogy

Abstract

The article presents the considerations that led to the conclusion of arguments and counterarguments in favour of creating special geragogy, and also allowed to propose a solution that respects the assumptions of the idea of integration and normalization. The pretext for analysing the classifications of sub-disciplines of special education and considering the legitimacy of the submitted proposal were the studies suggesting the separation of a sub-discipline dealing with seniors with disabilities.
