This paper focuses on the theoretical study of the burning rate of D-T fuel in Z-pinch devices with magneto-inertial confinement. The investigated nuclear fusion process involved fast laser ignition of a mixed D-T fuel contained in a capsule at a temperature of 10 keV, influenced by a strong electromagnetic field. The D-T, D-D, D-3He, 3He-3He, and T-T fusion reactions were employed in the calculations. Based on modern experimental fit data of nuclear fusion reaction rates, the particle and energy balance equations, along with their numerical solutions, were considered, utilizing the ion densities of charged particles such as protons, deuterium, tritium, 3He, and 4He ions. The plasma was in a hot, ultra-dense state, under the quasi-neutrality condition, with initial deuterium and tritium densities of 5×1023 cm−3 and an electron density of 10×1023 cm−3. The ion and electron temperatures were considered equal in this paper. The time dependencies of the ion densities, plasma temperature, energy yield from charged ions and neutrons, fusion power density, and bremsstrahlung radiation loss were investigated.

The Lawson criterion constitutes a pivotal condition for the viability of sustained fusion reactions. This study employs numerical methods and data analysis in Microsoft Excel to ascertain the Lawson criterion for D-³He fusion at temperatures ranging from 75 to 150 keV. Furthermore, the investigation examines the influence of bremsstrahlung radiation and evaluates fusion reactivity based on Hively and Bosch-Hale parameters. Hively’s reactivity value falls within the range of 1.121 × 10−22 – 6.750 × 10−22 m3/s, the instability occurs at temperatures < 100 keV. The Bosch-Hale value differs significantly from the Hively reactivity, which is 1.208 × 10−22 – 2.340 × 10−22 m3/s. The bremsstrahlung radiation within the range of 4.819 × 10−20 – 6.802 × 10−20 keV exhibits minimal impact on the reaction. The Lawson criterion value within the scope of this study typically falls within the range of 0.437 × 1021 – 1.452 × 1021 s/m3. This range signifies the necessary combination of confinement time and plasma density to facilitate the generation of clean energy within a temperature range of 75 to 150 keV, thus propelling the fusion process toward the ignition phase.

Уточненные аппроксимации сечений и скоростей реакций, существенных для управляемого термоядерного синтеза Для расчета задач управляемого термоядерного синтеза традиционно используют четыре ядерные реакции. В работе проведено сравнение сечений большого числа термоядерных реакций между легчайшими элементами. Показано, что помимо традиционных четырех реакций ощутимый вклад может внести реакция T+T→2 + He. При низких температурах существенный вклад вносят реакции D+ → + He и T+ → + He , остальными реакциями, по-видимому, можно пренебречь. Для указанных реакций проведена более тщательная обработка экспериментальных данных, и построены аппроксимации высокой точности. У новых реакций точность нахождения S-фактора составила 2-6%, а точность скорости реакции-3-5%.
