Abstract:This reflection paper discusses a series of reference requests from incarcerated individuals. It provides both a synopsis of the requests themselves as well a discussion of the complications of fulfilling them. The paper points out the restrictions and flaws in the processes by which incarcerated individuals are allowed to request information and the role of mediation in answering those requests.
