Reduction of second- and third-order harmonic distortion by nonlinear absorption in gain-coupled DFB lasers

Abstract: The analog modulation distortion due to nonlinear gain compression has been found to be reduced significantly in the gain-coupled DFB laser of absorptive grating type.
