“…The microstructure of the samples is studied by powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier‐transform infrared (FT‐IR) spectra. As shown in Figure a, to the CNNT 650 , there are only two XRD diffraction peaks located at 12.8° and 27.8°, corresponding to (100) and (002) planes of g ‐C 3 N 4 , respectively . To the Au NR 769 /CNNT 650 , the two characteristic peaks of CNNT 650 still exist without obvious peak shift, in addition, there are other five distinct diffraction peaks at 38.2°, 44.5°, 64.7°, 77.7°, and 81.8°, corresponding to the bulk Au (JCPDS # 04‐0784).…”

“…Nitrophenols are regarded as one kind of persistent organic pollutants frequently identified in various industrial discharges released from plasticizers, dyes pesticides and pharmaceutical industries . However, its reduzate anilines are industrially used as various intermediates for pharmaceuticals, polymers, herbicides, photographic developers, corrosion inhibitors, anticorrosion‐lubricant, hair‐dyeing agent and other fine chemicals .…”

“…Consequently, g‐CN presents excellent photocatalytic performance for photo‐reduction reactions, such as hydrogen evolution from water splitting and reduction of CO 2 to solar fuels . However, it is noteworthy that the photocatalytic activity of g‐CN for reduction of PNP to PAP is extremely low ,. Moreover, in comparison to the numerous investigation interests on other photocatalytic reactions by g‐CN or g‐CN based composites, fewer studies have been reported on photo‐reduction of PNP.…”

“…Moreover, in comparison to the numerous investigation interests on other photocatalytic reactions by g‐CN or g‐CN based composites, fewer studies have been reported on photo‐reduction of PNP. And, in most cases g‐CN was only used as photo‐reduction medium or supporter to prepare or load noble metal catalysts …”
