Reduced-order robust compensator design with real parameter uncertainty

Abstract: A method based on observer theory is presented for the construction of design equations for low‐order controllers to provide H∞ norm constraint for systems with real‐parameter uncertainties. The multi‐goal robust stability and performance problem is solved in terms of Riccati inequalities. A new design methodology is presented along with a numerical algorithm. An example is also included to demonstrate the proposed design method. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
