Abstract: Summary The human homologues of murine double minute 2 (MDM2) and 4 (MDM4) negatively regulate p53 tumour suppressor activity and are reported to be frequently overexpressed in human malignancies, prompting clinical trials with drugs that prevent interactions between MDM2/MDM4 and p53.
