Rediscovering a Forgotten System of Symbiosis: Historical Perspective and Future Potential

Abstract: While the majority of symbiosis research is focused on bacteria, microbial eukaryotes play important roles in the microbiota and as pathogens, especially the incredibly diverse Fungi kingdom.
