“…Cells were washed twice by centrifugation in TE buffer at 2500 g for 10 min. The cells were resuspended and lysed with either SDS 10% and proteinase K (Sigma) 20 mg=ml for gram-negative strains or in 150 ìl of an enzyme mixture containing lysozyme (Sigma) 15 resuspended by sonication for 15 s and incubated at 378C for 1 h.
