Abstract

Recurrent breast abscess secondary to imbedded Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle dartA 42-year-old woman was referred for imaging due to a recurrent left-sided breast abscess. Prior to ultrasound, the abscess was lanced on four separate occasions over an 11-week period. Ultrasound of the left breast revealed an echogenic, shadowing, linear foreign body with extension to the pectoralis major muscle, associated with abscess formation (Fig. 1). History revealed physical altercation with the police resulting in a TASER (Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle)'ing.
