“…Our poor recruitment rate likely reflects the nature of the underlying study population. It has been previously demonstrated that it is hard to recruit participants from this population as they are generally found to be distrustful of research studies, feel withdrawn, or are concerned with their own difficulties associated with being homeless or at risk of homelessness [ 28 ].
