Reconstruction of heavy quark current correlators at

Abstract: We construct approximate formulas for the O(α 3 s ) QCD contributions to vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar quark current correlators, which are valid for arbitrary values of momenta and masses. The derivation is based on conformal mapping and the Padé approximation procedure and incorporates known expansions in the low energy, threshold and high energy regions. We use our results to estimate additional terms in these expansions.

“…[33][34][35] and the three-loop terms agree with refs. [36][37][38]. 3 At n-loop order the leading term of ∆ (n) behaves as (α s /β) n which is determined by the Sommerfeld factor 4 S = z/(1 − e −z ) with z = C F α s π/β.…”

“…The theoretical expression for the moments is related to derivatives of the vacuum polarization function at q 2 = 0. Four-loop [O(α s 3 )] results for the vacuum polarization function have appeared for the first moment [240][241][242], second moment [243], third moment [244], and approximate results for higher moments [245,246]. All those four-loop results are used in the most recent low-momentum sum-rule determinations of the heavy-quark masses reported below.…”

“…Using a different approach based on threshold resummation the low-energy expansion coefficients have also been estimated in [21]. All determinations agree within the error, with [19] giving the smallest errors. A comparison between the works is shown in Tab.…”

“…Recently, the exact results for the second [17] and third [18] moments were obtained. Combining these coefficients with additional information on the threshold and the high-energy behaviour and using the analyticity of Π Q (q 2 ) and Padé approximations, fairly precise numerical results were obtained [19] for the higher coefficients up to n = 10. (For an earlier analysis along similar lines see Ref.…”
