Recognition Thresholds for Digits

Abstract: A study of the role of form and size upon the recognition thresholds for digits was performed using the Weiss focal variator and Century Old Style Bold digits. Individual differences were so large as to make any generalization impossible; halving and doubling the standard produced a significant and differential effect upon the recognition thresholds.
