Recent Updates on Ayurveda based Phytoconstitutents for the Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is ubiquitous metabolic syndrome with increase rates of mortality from past few decades. It is biochemical disorder with complex pathophysiology and has disturbed glucose homeostasis which is maintained by insulin hormone. The current medications for diabetes mellitus have serious adverse effects after long treatments.
