Recent Trends in Electrospinning of Polymer Nanofibers and their Applications as Templates for Metal Oxide Nanofibers Preparation

Abstract: Scientists have been paying a special atention for the synthesis of one-dimensional D) morphologies to atain new phenomena and novel physicochemical characteristics of materials. Furthermore, D nanostructures exhibit long axial ratio, which has a great inluence on the physical and chemical properties of materials. It is worth mentioning that electrospinning is one of the most common and eicient techniques used for the preparation of D polymer composite nanoibers. Using electrospinning, nanoibers were fabricate… Show more

“…The most promising applications lie in the biomedical field, which includes drug delivery carriers, tissue engineering, and wound dressing [ 1 ]. It is noteworthy to report that the electrospinning process can be applied to prepare metal oxide nanofibers for a wide range of applications [ 14 ]. There are still serious limitations regarding the improvement of functional nanofibers and reproducible electrospinning processes [ 13 ].…”
