Recent research on suicide in the elderly

Abstract: Older adults, and older men in particular, are the segment of the US population that has the highest suicide rate. Although research on risk factors continues to grow, there remains limited knowledge of the biologic changes that increase risk for suicide, as well as limited information about contributing psychosocial processes that extend beyond demographic factors.
