Recent highlights from GENIE v3

Abstract: The release of GENIE v3.0.0 was a major milestone in the long history of the GENIE project, delivering several alternative comprehensive neutrino interaction models, improved charged-lepton scattering simulations, a range of beyond the Standard Model simulation capabilities, improved experimental interfaces, expanded core framework capabilities, and advanced new frameworks for the global analysis of neutrino scattering data and tuning of neutrino interaction models. Steady progress continued following the rele… Show more

“…The work described here uses three GENIE configurations: G18 02a, G18 10a, and G18 10b. These alphanumeric codes represent the choice of GE-NIE physics models: the G18 02a model set is an updated version of the historical default model from GENIE v2, and the G18 10a and G18 10b configurations have newer models for almost all processes relevant here [49]. For all G18 model sets, the last character defines the FSI treatment used.…”

“…Currently, the only other software tool with comparable functionality for any neutrino generator is the proprietary Comparisons product maintained by the GENIE Collaboration [396].…”

“…Recent releases (major version 3) of the GENIE neutrino event generator include multiple "comprehensive model configurations" which are officially maintained [31]. For the results shown in this paper, we used GENIE 3.0.6 with a slightly modified version of the G18 10b 00 000 configuration.…”
