Abstract:The inherited bone marrow failure syndromes (IBMFS) are a heterogeneous group of genetic disorders characterized by the inadequate production of at least one of the hematopoietic lineages, leading to the development of both isolated cytopenia (anemia, neutropenia, or thrombocytopenia) or pancytopenia.
