Abstract:Occlusive atherosclerosis of the lower limbs in the initial stage is characterized by symptoms of intermittent claudication with a variable distance depending on the severity of its changes. As a progressive disease, it may lead to the obstruction of the arteries of the lower extremities and the formation of a collateral circulation network in the form of natural by-passes of obstructed sections of the arteries.
