Reanalysis of generalized sensitivity factors for optical-axis perturbation in nonplanar ring resonators

Abstract: By utilizing the novel coordinate system for Gaussian beam reflection and the generalized ray matrix for spherical mirror reflection, the generalized sensitivity factors SD1, ST1, SD2 and ST2 influenced by both the radial and axial displacements of a spherical mirror in a nonplanar ring resonator have been obtained. Besides, the singular points of different kinds of non-planar ring resonators under the conditions of incident angle A ranging from 0° to 45° or total coordinate rotation angle ρ ranging from 0° to… Show more

“…В конечном счете, ЧХ каждого образца ЛГ определяли экспериментально. Интерес к получению ЧХ на ПК [9][10][11][12] объясняется тем, что в машинном эксперименте можно получить ЧХ виртуального ЛГ, не имея при этом реального прибора.…”

“…Meanwhile, this ring resonator can effectively suppress the standing wave effect and the spatial hole burning, which can be widely used in developing high precision laser measurement, precision spectroscopy, frequency measurement, and coherent information processing. Ring resonator structure is an effective method to obtain high power traveling wave laser in a variety of optical precision detection fields; most sensors, such as four frequency differential laser gyros [3] and fiber interferometer filter [4], are composed partially by making use of it. These sensors, which possess the properties of high accuracy, strong ability to resist severe environment, long-lasting life spans, and broad dynamic range [5,6], are widely applied to measure the physical quantity [7], biochemical quantity [8], biomass parameter [9], and so on.…”

“…Ray matrix method has been widely used to analyze optical axis perturbations in various 3D optical systems [12][13][14][15]. Sheng [12] used a matrix approach to determine the optical axis perturbation sensitivity of an out-of-plane stable ring resonator.…”
