The full-bridge convertor is able to perform as the basic electrical circuit elements in its AC side with proper control. Negative inductor which is not exist in the real world is helpful to decrease the power line impedance without the possibility of resonance like the capacitor. Three different active inductor implementation methods are reviewed and compared, based on the features of the distributed FACTS. The Direct Reactance Synthesis method is chosen and analyzed in detail, especially for the negative inductor case. The impedance characteristics of virtual negative inductor is shown and discussed. The power flow controllability is verified by simulation and experiments.
