Real‐Time Smartphone Charging from Recycled Aluminum Foil–Based Electromagnetic Energy Harvester

Abstract: Harvesting energy from waste resources shows significant potential in low‐power electronics, self‐powered devices, and waste‐energy management. Herein, a possible mechanism is demonstrated to harvest waste electromagnetic (EM) energy produced by the induction heater where recycled aluminum foil is utilized as an energy‐harvester unit. As a consequence, ≈5.34 μW of harvested power is manifested under the operating condition of the induction heater. In this connection, a demonstration of the real‐time calculator… Show more

“…The thermal energy harvester slows at night or during low-temperature fluctuations, and the ME energy harvester is of no use in the absence of stray magnetic fields. To overcome these technicalities, a multiple-energy harvesting technology is proposed as a viable solution to the sustainable energy supply. , It enables the generation of consistent and efficient electric energy at multiple energy inputs at itinerant transductions. In this series, multisource hybrid energy harvesters with multiple energy conversion materials and conformers are being developed to optimize the output power when multiple energy sources are available, either concurrently or alternately. …”
