Abstract:Summary
This work describes a statistical rock-physics-driven inversion of seismic acoustic impedance (AI) and ultradeep azimuthal resistivity (UDAR) log data, acquired while drilling, to estimate porosity, water saturation, and facies classes around the wellbore. Despite their limited resolution, seismic data integrated with electromagnetic resistivity log measurements improve the description of rock properties by considering the coupled effects of pore space and fluid saturation in the joint a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
