Real-Time Road Hazard Information System

Abstract: Infrastructure is a significant factor in economic growth for systems of government. In order to increase economic productivity, maintaining infrastructure quality is essential. One of the elements of infrastructure is roads. Roads are means which help local and national economies be more productive. Furthermore, road damage such as potholes, debris, or cracks is the cause of many on-road accidents that have cost the lives of many drivers. In this paper, we propose a system that uses Convolutional Neural Netwo… Show more

“…However, such behavior was clearly visible for the composite in the Mix-L1 series (Table 11). This proves that the concrete in the Mix-L2 series was more brittle than both of the analyzed composites [66,67].…”

“…This network uses a region proposal network (RPN) to identify rectangular boundary boxes through shared convolution features and classify and locate multiple targets. Pena-Caballero et al [ 20 ] used the YOLO9000 network and semantic segmentation to classify and detect pixel-level objects. However, because of the use of image segmentation technology, it is easily affected by the noise produced by high-speed motion.…”

“…This approach enables the portrayal of these dynamics and provides a compelling argument in support of the theoretical framework supporting this investigation. Pena-Caballero, Kim, Gonzalez, Castellanos, Cantu, and Ho [36] posit that the implementation of information infrastructures is a means for companies to enhance their competitiveness and progress their business strategies. Enterprises operating in fiercely competitive industries encounter external pressures, and the implementation of Intelligent Information Systems (IIs) can be regarded as a tactical remedy to these predicaments.…”
