Real-time intraoperative high-speed imaging during phacoemulsification

Abstract: We describe the use of high-speed imaging during phacoemulsification in a clinical scenario. Images captured during surgery at high frame rates are converted into a slow-motion film to view and analyze various surgical steps. This technique highlights events that are not captured in a normal-speed video recording. It has obvious applications for understanding surgical techniques and technology.
